Reunion for Vandyke staff
VANDYKE Upper School has been educating the people of Leighton for 30 years.
And to mark the occasion a grand reunion of Vandyke staff, past and present, is being held at the school on Saturday May 19.
Returning staff will be given a tour of the new facilities, which include enlarged library and resource centre, improved sixth form study centre, new PE changing rooms, dance studio and additional PE classroom and offices.
In fact, any staff that left over three years ago may have difficulty recognising the school, so comprehensive are the new facilities!
The participants will be treated to a sumptuous three-course spread prepared by Vandyke's Catering Manager – no soggy cabbage or watery mash here!
The menu contains such mouth-watering delicacies as 'Tagliatelle Verdi with Basil and Sun Dried Tomato'
and 'Profiterole Mountain with Chocolate Sauce'.
To round the evening off there will be a cabaret performed by past and present members of staff.
