A Leighton vet is expecting to raise in the region of £200 after successfully completing last Sunday’s MK Half Marathon.
Robin Grimmer, of Ark House Vets in Hockliffe Street, achieved his goal of completing the course in under two hours – clocking one hour, 58 minutes and five seconds.
He’s now collating the funds from his online page www.gofundme.com/74n9vw with some cash collections.
The money is in aid of Appledown Rescue and Rehoming Kennels in Eaton Bray.
It’s the latest challenge for the 45-year-old who is keen on endurance sports like running and cycling and in 2012 cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
Last year he did the opposite diagonal – Dover to Cape Wrath in the far northwest of Scotland.
