Schools unite for World Book Day

A parade of pupils and teachers from lower schools across Leighton-Linslade will join together dressed as their favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day.

The event has been organised by Beds’ Learning Community 2 to launch a Year Of Reading, which kickstarts on the book celebration day on March 7.

On the day, hundreds of people will follow the Literary Trail around the town to promote the importance and joy of reading.
