Graffiti in Linslade Recreation Ground

A graffitist is being sought by Beds Police after Linslade Recreation Ground was once again made a target for vandalism just before Christmas.

On December 18 between 11am and 2pm a graffiti tag was spray painted onto a gate at The Hunt Hotel, Church Road, Linslade that overlooks the rec. A wall was also vandalised between 10pm on December 19 and 8am on December 20.

This brings the total number of graffiti incidents that have been reported to the police up to five.

In November, the owner of a Grade Two listed building in a Conservation Area, who did not wish to be named, claimed to the LBO he had been “besieged with graffiti” and spent £50 every spring to clean up the vandals’ mess.

Bedfordshire Police say they are now actively seeking any information from the public on the vandal whose tag name is Bex. If anyone can assist, contact crime desk officer Gary Maxey, who is currently investigating, on 01234 846942.
