Stanbridge house targeted by thieves

A bungalow in Stanbridge was targeted for the second time this year by thieves who smashed in the front door and stole a large quantity of cash and jewellery on Wednesday morning.

Now Leighton Police are appealing to passers-by who may have seen the burglars attacking the Mill Road home from the street. The incident happened some time between 11am and 1pm. After kicking in the front door they ransacked the property before making their escape. A silver-coloured BMW or Mercedes was seen in the area and police are keen to talk to the driver to eliminate them from inquiries.
