Tesco employee assaulted during store theft
Do you recognise the man wearing a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt?
Bedfordshire Police are appealing to the public if they recognise a male wanted in connection with assault and theft at a store in Leighton Buzzard - with the possibility of a cash reward.
The young white man, who was seen on CCTV wearing a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt, was with a black man in Tesco on Vimy Road when a member of shop staff intervened in the theft of a television.
The staff member was then assaulted by the black man, which resulted in a broken nose.
The incident happened on Sunday September 2 at around 10.30am and police are now asking the public if they recognise the man wearing the Mickey Mouse sweatshirt.
Investigation Officer Tom Hamilton would like to hear from people who can put a name to his face, or anyone who was in the shop and saw any part of the incident involving the theft/assault.
Mr Hamilton can be contacted direct at Luton Police station on 01582 394489 or else via the non-emergency number 101, or leave your information anonymously via independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
You do not have to give your name but you could still receive a cash reward.
