Tesco reveals it plans for Leighton

Store expansion proposals go public

Tesco officials are stepping up their bid to increase the size of their store in Vimy Road, Linslade.

On Friday (10am-5pm) and Saturday (11am-4pm) there will be a public exhibition in the supermarket for people to view the new proposals and speak to the development team.

A Tesco spokesman said: "The Leighton Buzzard store is extremely popular and we are considering plans to expand the site. However nothing is fixed at the moment and the plans are very much open to negotiation. To that end we'll be consulting with councillors, businesses and local groups in the coming weeks.

"I'm looking forward to hearing their views and learning how Tesco can best serve the local community."
