A free two-day event to show case endangered breeds of horses and ponies at a new indoor equestrian centre is welcoming families to see a mixture of showing, entertainment and trade stands.
Bury Farm Equestrian Village are hosting the rare Breeds Heritage Show on Mill Road, Slapton over the weekend.
The Rare Breeds Survival Trust have joined the ten equine rare breed societies, whose horses and ponies are included on the RBST Endangered list, to present the event.
Across the two days will be a Gala evening performance, in hand classes, show classes, jumping, driving, displays and demonstrations and the Hackney Horse Society have included their Hackney Horse and Pony of the Year Championships.
Car parking and entry for spectators is free allowing every family an opportunity to see a mixture of showing, equine entertainment and trade stands.
The rare breeds represented at the Rare Breed Heritage Show are: Cleveland Bay Horse; Eriskay Pony; Hackney Horse & Pony; Dales Pony; Exmoor Pony; Shire Horse; Dartmoor Pony; Highland Pony; Fell Pony; Welsh Mountain A semi feral.
