Thieves clean up in series of raids at Tidy Tip
Police have released CCTV images of two men that they would like to speak with in connection to a series of thefts from a Tidy Tip in Leighton Buzzard.
There have been five separate raids at The Tidy Tip in Shenley Hill Road, Leighton Buzzard, between March 14 and April 15 with a number of items – including car batteries, televisions, lighting fixtures, scrap metal and household appliances – being taken.
CCTV cameras at the location have caught two men on film on each occasion, but now officers need the public’s assistance in identifying the duo.
Police Community Support Officer Scott Burgess, who is investigating the raids, would like to hear from anyone who may know the two men.
He said: “We would really like to hear from anyone who has any information relating to these break-ins. Please don’t dismiss your information as unimportant – even tiny details which don’t seem relevant now might become useful later on in the investigation.”
If you have information relating to this incident, contact Bedfordshire Police, in confidence, on the non emergency number 101, or text information to 07786 200011.
Alternatively contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111, or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
