Cannabis cocktail at The Sun Inn Leighton Buzzard with manager Nick Foxwell Cannabis energy drink and vodka = Stonned Russian
A controversial cannabis drink has forced a Leighton landlord to assure a divided community that his popular new tipple is legal.
Owner of The Sun pub on Lake Street, Nick Foxwell, 43, says that business is booming since he began to advertise the Cannabis Energy Drink.
Nick, pictured, said: “Absolutely everyone wants to give it a try so it is doing really well for business, mainly because of the name and the drawing, which has made people curious.”
“I am not promoting cannabis.
“I have a strong policy for no drugs in my pub and in the past when I have caught people using red-handed, they are out and barred for life.”
After putting up the sign outside the pub, Nick was visited by the police and Trading Standards who both left assured that the energy drink contains hemp seed extract, which is a term used mainly for low tetrahydrocannabinol strains of the plant Cannabis sativa and is legal.
