VIDEO: Volunteers at Moggerhanger Park Home Farm

Waiting for Video...

Teenagers have been showing their altruistic sides by volunteering.

This summer young people aged 13 to 18 have been helping out at Moggerhanger Park Home Farm. The Central Youth Volunteering Project was organised by Bedford Volunteer Centre.

Youth volunteering co-ordinator, Sarah Bigg, said: “It’s a run down farm area that’s eventually going to be used as a place to deliver apprenticeships for young people; carpentry, mechanics and lots of other things.”

Work has included making fences, tree cutting and building a chicken run.

The project will continue into autumn. To join in call Sarah on 01234 213100 or email sarah@bedfordvb.org.uk
