Walker: “I narrowly avoided Rushmere flasher”

Rushmere Park

A FEMALE dog-walker from Leighton has spoken of her “frightening encounter” with the man she believes to be the Rushmere flasher.

Julie Stocker, 40, was walking her Hungarian Visla past the Black Pond towards Rushmere Park at around 8:40am last Tuesday, when she was confronted by a “theatrically dressed cyclist,” who tried to grab her attention with what she describes as a “clearly rehearsed routine.”

The incident took place in the same stretch of woods where a cyclist was found committing a sex act by another female dog walker three weeks ago.

Police are still investigating the first incident and have also received a report of Mrs Stocker’s ordeal but are unable to say if the two events are linked.
