A parade of pupils and teachers from lower schools across Leighton-Linslade will join together today dressed as their favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day.

They will follow the Literary Trail around the town to promote the importance and joy of reading.

The event has been organised by Beds’ Learning Community 2 to launch a Year Of Reading.
