Make tracks to Leighton's narrow gauge craft day

Railway's Stonhenge craft centre celebrate decade with family day of fun.

THIS Sunday (Aug 1) there's only one place to be if you're crafty – and that's at the narrow gauge railway arts and crafts shop.

Let the anoraks have their day with the steam engines while mums and kids head to a craft demonstration day at the Stonehenge Works shop where children can be entertained by getting stuck into a variety of demonstrations and hands-on crafts.

There's going to be stalls, music, and activities going on throughout the day to celebrate the shop's 10th anniversary.

You can also check out how the attempt to knit the three-mile length of train track is progressing. Volunteers at the centre and at home are furiously knitting sections in aid of charity.

They'll be a few needles and balls of wool hanging about at the sidings if you get the urge to join in the fun.
