McDonald’s staff raised over £80 for The Ronald McDonald House at Oxford Children’s Hospital at a charity fun day earlier this month.
The team spent the day doing face painting and playing games with the customers, they also did a balloon raffle to raise money for the charity.
Kelly Lee, Customer Care Assistant at the Leighton Buzzard branch said: “The day was a massive success and everyone had a lot of fun.
“The hospital are currently looking to expand to an extra block or ward to provide ten more beds.
“The charity provides beds for terminally ill children and their families, they aim to keep the families together at their toughest times.
“Thank you to everyone who came along and joined in with the fun and helped us to raise £88.”
The Ronald McDonald House at Oxford Children’s Hospital currently offers 18 rooms for parents to get some rest while their children are at the hospital.
There are kitchens, laundry facilities and a lounge room, to resemble a normal life for the families that stay.
