A family from Leighton Buzzard have pleaded for the public’s help after their beloved Siamese cat went missing.

Hero the cat is nearly a year old and was last seen in Appenine Way on Monday, July 25. Owners Chris and Nikki Cresswell are desperate to track him down.

Hero is a support animal for their nine-year-old son Timothy, who has autistm and is devastated the cat has gone missing.

Dad Chris told the LBO: “We all miss Hero very much. He’s so friendly, he has a huge personality and is always able to make himself understood.

“He was really supporting Timothy. He would follow him wherever he went and get involved in whatever he was doing, he even sat and listened to the bedtime story with us every night.

“Timothy really struggled with the world around him and Hero has unlocked so much of his personality and made a huge difference to how he manages his behaviours.”

There has been no sign of the cat since he vanished last week and the couple are pleading for his return.

Chris added the cat had opened up a whole new world of communication for his son.
