Neil’s legacy is how he united the community

It was with much sadness that I learned of Neil Devlin’s death, writes Leighton-Linslade mayor Councillor Amanda Dodwell.

Whilst I did not know Neil, it was clear from the comments on Facebook that Neil had a great many friends in Leighton-Linslade. His disappearance touched the whole community, and has brought out the best in people.

Whilst we all hoped for a positive outcome, it should be a comfort to those who helped in the search that nobody could have done anything more to bring Neil safely home. I would like to thank Jade Morgan, Glenn Haynes and Jules Perry for their tireless efforts in organising searches for Neil.

Neil’s lasting legacy for the town will be that he has united the community in a unique way.”

This is an extract from Councillor Dodwell’s monthly column for the LBO. See the March 4 issue for more.
