A couple who have lived in Linslade all their married lives have celebrated their Diamond wedding anniversary.
Barbara and Bill Wilkins marked their 60 happy years surrounded by family and friends.
The couple, who are aged 84 and 85, celebrated on the day of their anniversary on Thursday, July 2, with a card from the Queen and a cream tea in the afternoon.
The celebrating carried on later with a meal in The Star in Leighton Buzzard with family and friends. Barbara and Bill have two children - Michael and Chris - and five grandchildren - Naomi, James, Adam, Ruth and John.
Bill worked for many years at Marley Tiles and then for 10 years at Gossards before he retired at 65. Barbara worked at Dunham and Haines garage for many years.
She is a keen painter and has been a member of the Leighton Buzzard Arts Society for more than 30 years.
