Santa will again be visiting the streets of Leighton and Linslade during December collecting donations for local charities and clubs.
Every year the sight of Santa signals the start of Christmas and brings so much joy to local people young and old alike.
This year though Santa will have a bigger smile than ever thanks to Leighton Linslade Rotary Club supplying a brand new sleigh. The old sleigh had been patched up for many years and with 10 million miles on clock a new one was well deserved!
Leighton Linslade Rotary Club is a small group of local people who raise funds by organising events throughout the year including The May Fayre, Brains of Leighton Quiz, Santa Float and Carols in the High Street on Christmas Eve.
They meet regularly for a wide range of social events and raise in excess of £20,000 yearly. The money is mainly given back to local charities and clubs , although some goes nationally and internationally.
