The pupils and staff at Hockliffe Lower School are really proud that the excellence of their learning in science has been recognised through their achievement of the Primary
Science Quality Mark Silver Award.

Staff members were recently presented with the award by radio presenter and science fiction writer Simon Mayo at The
 Royal Institute in Mayfair, London.

The assessor commented on the buzz of interest and curiosity in the school as the children explore and investigate science around them, they really enjoy being scientists.

The school also planned an Energy Day when the children were challenged to use their investigative skills to create eco-friendly electricity using fruit and veg as an energy source!
