Staff at Leighton-based estate agents, Connells, made a substantial deposit at the town’s foodbank after a two week collection.
The Leighton-Linslade Community Foodbank is run by the Salvation Army and the Leighton Linslade Homeless Service.
The firm’s donation was picked up by the Rev Wynn Jones of St Barnabas Church who is chairman of the trustees of LLHS and the foodbank.
“We are delighted to make a contribution to this very worthy local cause, especially at this time of the year when most of us have so much,” said Connells’ Sue Ward.
“Connells has three large offices and two high street branches in Leighton so we felt that we could make a good contribution to the great work that Leighton Linslade Community Foodbank does.”
