Send us your photos - Leighton and Linslade and surrounding village addresses only

THE World Cup in South Africa has kicked off and LBO readers are going football crazy!

Leighton, Linslade and the surrounding villages have really gone to town this year supporting our national side and there are George Crosses at every turn.

And as an added incentive to back the national team, the LBO has a superb TV to give away, courtesy of our official World Cup sponsor, Leighton estate agent Steve Latham.

So, has your local pub done better than The Golden Bell in Church Square, Leighton, who has really shown its true colours and regulars will be cheering on England loud and proud over the next few weeks?

Are your flower beds more patriotic than the Leighton-Linslade Town Council's representation outside the multi-storey car park in West Street?

Has your office or place of work done something simply extraordinary to mark the big event?

Fallowfield neighbours have clubbed together to bring a sea of white and red to the cul-de-sac cheering on Steven Gerrard and the boys.

Organiser Linda Eggleton said: "We do this every four years and it is great fun. We are just as hopeful this year and we all want England to win."

But what did Linda think of England's 1-1 performance on Saturday against USA.

She said: "I thought they played the best that they could – I feel sorry for Robert Green, the goalie, Everyone makes mistakes and unfortunately everyone remembers goalie's mistakes, What about all the strikers' misses?"

Have you really gone to town on the decorations or have you seen something spectacular that deserves a mention?

If you have then, don't forget, there's a great TV up for grabs for the best effort!
