Surprise Surprise! It's Cilla for Waterside panto
Showbiz legend to lead panto in Aylesbury Vale's newest theatre.
THERE'S going to be a lorra lorra laughs when one of showbusiness' biggest names, Cilla Black, stars in the debut pantomime at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
Cilla will play the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, sharing some of the spotlight with another big name celebrity yet to be announced.
Having shot to fame as a singer at the Cavern Club alongside The Beatles, Cilla has become an international chart-topping sensation and a national treasure with hit TV shows like Blind Date and Surprise, Surprise.
Kevin Wood, chief executive of First Family Entertainment, which produces pantos for the Ambassadors' theatres, said: "I am thrilled to bring Cilla to the new Waterside Theatre.
"There is no bigger star in Britain. This is a major coup for Aylesbury and underlines the commitment we have made to produce shows of the very highest calibre for the people of Aylesbury and the Vale."
The amazing casting news doesn't end there. Heart-throb Gary Lucy (Hollyoaks, Footballers' Wives and Dancing on Ice) also stars as Cinderella's dashing Prince Charming and TV's funny man Andy Collins stars as Buttons, along with a fabulous supporting cast including a local juvenile chorus.
Cinderella runs from December 10 to January 9. For tickets call the box office 0844 871 7607 or visit www.ambassadortickets.com/aylesbury
