Teddies boost for KidsOut

General Electric, an electronics company, have been working hard in order to help Leighton-based charity KidsOut who support children in local refuges who have been affected by domestic violence.

The company’s voluntary project Comfort 4 Kids has been assembling teddies which will go into the charity’s toy boxes as part of their Toy Box Service.

Last Monday, General Electric presented KidsOut with the wonderful handmade donation of cuddly toys at KidsOut headquarters in Church Square.

The donation and community support shown by volunteers means that many children this Easter who have had to flee domestic violence with nothing, will have something to call their own.

A KidsOut spokesman said: “A massive thank you to General Electric and all those giving their time in order to help a disadvantaged child in the area.”
