A 19-year-old has been found not guilty after a trial by jury of starting a horrific house fire that almost killed a family of three.

Lee Sopp, of Harmony Row, appeared at Luton Crown Court throughout this week on one count of arson with intent.

The house in Hydrus Drive was left gutted after the fire on April 22.

But after a jury of nine men and three women retired yesterday, they delivered a verdict of ‘not guilty’ this morning.
