The Bell at Edlesborough rings in the changes
Have a fun filled family day on Sunday
A landlord and lady from a village pub have been ringing in the changes since their arrival and this weekend sees their second anniversary.
Andy and Alex Maddern took over The Bell at Edlesborough on May 24, 2007 and to mark the occasion will be hosting a variety of events over the bank holiday weekend.
On Sunday there will be bingo at 4pm, a barbecue from 6pm and a disco by Budgie from 8pm.
Alex said: "We have enjoyed the last two years despite the trying times and would like to thank our regulars for theirsupport.
"Anyone who has been in once or twice, or has yet to pop in since we took over is encouraged to come and give it a go - even if it's just for drinks before Sunday lunch or a quick pint after work."
The Five Bells at Eaton Bray shut down a few weeks ago so Andy and Alex welcome support for The Bell, which is the last village pub in Edlesborough.
Meanwhile, this Thursday, May 21 is quiz night at the pub. There is a 1 per team member entry fee and all cash entries go into the prize pot. There is no limit to the team size, so the more team members you bring, the larger the prize pot. The quiz starts at 8:30pm and the questions will be general knowledge with some themed rounds.
