Little learners at Cedars Day Nursery showed their appreciaton for apprentice Amy Lawman by making her a large princess card to recognise the fact she loves drawing princesses for everyone.

The ‘outstanding’ Ofsted-rated nursery also held a tea party to mark National Apprentice Week.

Amy said: “I love my job – the people I work with are friendly and supportive and I get on well with the parents.

“But most of all I enjoy coming to work every day to be with the children. It makes me happy to see them learn and thrive and to know I have helped in their development.”

Nursery manager Michelle Nokes added: “Apprentices are a valued asset at Cedars and we wanted to hold an event to celebrate the role they play.

“In addition to the personalised gifts she was given, inspired by her love of drawing, Amy was also treated to a very special lunch. We hope she has a wonderful week.”
