Central Bedfordshire’s Travel Choices team will be in Leighton Buzzard this November with offers and advice to help residents get active, travel sustainably and save money.
After sending out an introductory postcard to residents, the team of Travel Advisors – all wearing Travel Choices uniform and carrying ID – will be knocking on doors.
They will talk to residents about their travel choices and ‘challenging’ individuals to leave the car behind and increase the amount of ‘active’ travel in their lives, for instance by cycling, walking or using public transport.
The team will also have advice on Arriva’s new express F70 bus route, connecting Leighton Buzzard with Milton Keynes, Dunstable and Luton (via the Luton Dunstable Busway). For residents new to the bus service and taking a travel challenge, a taster ticket offer will be available.
The team will also attending events such as the Leighton Buzzard Christmas Market
Councillor Nigel Youngsaid: “The Travel Choices team have a wealth of experience in helping people travel more actively and cost-effectively. The forthcoming activity in Leighton Buzzard is a great opportunity for residents to discover more about the range of travel options available to them.”
