TV celebrities to judge talent show

Hollyoaks and CBeebies comes to Wing on Saturday, January 25 when The Cottesloe School holds its own version of Britain’s Got Talent.

They’ll be no sign of Simon Cowell, but TV celebrities Ayden Callaghan and Sarah-Jane Honeywell (pictured) will take a seat on Cottesloe’s judging panel.

Winslow born and bred Ayden Callaghan is an actor of both stage and screen, and currently known for playing the part of Joe Roscoe in popular soap Hollyoaks.

Ayden, who is the cousin of a Cottesloe student, also played the part of Miles De Souz in Emmerdale, and has appeared several times on Loose Women.

Sarah-Jane is best known for her work as a CBeebies presenter, but is also an actress, dancer, acrobat/aerialist. After dance school she started her career in Malta as a contortionist; her flexibility helped gain her a part in hit West End show Cats where she remained for several years.

Sarah-Jane has acted in several leading theatre productions and played a wide range of characters in TV dramas and commercials. She also finds time to write reviews and columns, advocate and promote animal welfare and has recently recorded a dance album.

A school spokesman said: “There will be signing and photo opportunities during the evening, so if you would like to meet SJ and Ayden come on over to The Cottesloe School. Doors open at 6.30pm with the first act on stage at 7pm. The audience will be able to cast their votes on the acts.”

Those attending are invited to bring their own bottle and nibbles. A raffle and snack bar with hot and cold drinks will also be available.

Tickets are limited and cost £5 for adults, £3 concessions and £15 family (two adults/two children).
