A lifesaving community group has got the New Year off to the best possible start– by expanding its operation.
Over the last 12 months Leighton Linslade First Responders has been able to raise more than £6,000 through donations and charity events, which it has spent on four new kit bags for its volunteers.
The increase of resources will allow the group to expand its offering across the area.
First Responders founder Stephen Bennett told the LBO: “This kit is vital for us to respond to 999 calls and the additional equipment will enable us to provide additional cover and save even more lives in Leighton, Linslade and surrounding area.
“We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has shown us support over the last year and helped us achieve this.
