The living dead invaded Leighton Buzzard on Saturday night for a zombie pub crawl to celebrate Hallowe’en.

Locals were invited to dress up like the deceased and join the pub crawl by mystery organiser ‘Dr Brains’.

The zombies started at The Golden Bell and visited the Black Lion, The Swan Hotel, The Cranky Weasel, Mr Ridgway’s, The Picture House and The Lancer.

Dr Brains said: “The zombie pub crawl went well, everyone that came had a great time and made a lot of effort with their costumes.

“I was hoping for more people to come but it is the first one, we will be doing it again next year, so hopefully more people will join us.

“I have not had a chance to see how much was raised on the night but I know people were putting money in the pots so hopefully we have raised a bit for the charity.

“I chose to raise money for PACE because I know a local boy, Freddie Gray, who has cerebral palsy and goes to the PACE centre.

“The charity supports children who have motor diseases, it is a great local cause.”
