Talks are ongoing to find a solution to repetitive floods to properties in Ivinghoe Aston, which were severely waterlogged earlier this year.
Aylesbury Vale District Councillor Chris Poll met with the Bucks County Council flood resilience officer to find the root cause of the floods.
After some investigation, it appears that some of the flooding may be due to aged piping in an old ditch nearby which has since been filled in. It is believed the pipes may be unable to cope with water pressure during heavy weather, leading to the flooding.
Councillor Poll said: “At the moment, the powers of the council are limited to asking the owners of the site to rectify the issue.”
