Reds try again against Bury Town

Leighton Town hope to get back in action tonight after the postponement of their weekend fixture.

A waterlogged pitch put paid to Red's game at Rothwell on Saturday, so they'll be keen to resume Southern League action at home to Bury Town this evening, kick-off 7.45pm.

They then host Bedworth in another league game at the weekend, before travelling to Beaconsfield on Monday evening.

Leighton Reserves did play, however, and had an easy 4-1 win over Cranfield United in the Bedfordshire Intermediate Cup.

Danny Watson scored two and Jay Hutchings netted too, after Cranfield had gifted Town an own goal to open the scoring.

The second string travel to Northwood Reserves in the Suburban League Cup.
