Leighton Town U18s Under The Flood Lights this week
Team to play in floodlit cup
Leighton Town U18s have made it through to the final of the Floodlit Teams County Cup.
Manager John Forsythe will be leading his team out against Luton Town in the final at Leighton Town, Bell Close, on Wednesday, March 3, 7.45pm kick off.
On the way to the final the Leighton team knocked out last year's winners Kempston Town and Dunstable Town.
They are now looking forward to facing the might of Luton Town.
John Forsythe said: "It is a match many in the team will relish as they have recently been released from Luton as they were judged as notbeing good enough to be scholars at the club!
"They will have a point to prove on the night!"
The team has been coached through the season by Richard Batten, Marc Collier and Craig Wells, who have also takenthe squad to two more quarter finals of regional cup competitions both to be played at Leighton Town in March.
John said: "Any U18s' players interested in being part of this team next year should make enquiries at the club."
