Linslade Greenleas U7 are "Under The Floodlights"
Making centre circle this week are 'Sporting' side.
Linslade Greenleas Sporting Vs Newton Longville Harriers (U7)
On this very cold morning Owen Lindars put Sporting ahead with an early goal after a good running by Ryan Kench.
Sporting continued to make chances but a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping the score line didn't change.
Adam Cobb, cleared off of the Sporting goal line in the second quarter and Liam Mundin, Joel Blades and Scott Towell all put in good performances.
There was good midfield and defensive play by both sides. After his goal line clearance at the beginning of the second quarter Adam Cobb scored on his league debut with a powerful left footed shot into the bottom corner. There was good passing of the ball by both sides.
During the third quarter Adam Mcneil, also making his league debut, delivered some quality corners before Ben Winfield ran from defence to calmly place the ball in the net through the Newton Longville goal keeper's legs. Adam McNeil then scored with a good well taken individual goal, but Newton Longville never gave up.
There were several more attempts on goal in the third quarter, which were well saved by Sporting's goal keeper Giorgio Testa. Sporting's final goal came in the fourth quarter which was an unlucky own goal by Newton Longville's centre back.
Several near misses and good saves showed the quality of Newton Longville's defence. MOM was Ryan Kench but well done to all players.
