Stuart Fleetwood nets his first at Kenilworth Road on Monday

TOWN boss Paul Buckle has finally got his wish by being able to select striker Stuart Fleetwood in his side, writes Mike Simmonds.

The new manager admitted trying to sign the forward while at his previous clubs, but was always priced out of a move.

Buckle said: “I’ve always liked Stuart Fleetwood and tried to sign him on a number of occasions. He’s probably been a bit expensive over the years Stuart, not by salary, but by what people wanted for him.

“He showed what a class act he is and I’m delighted with him.”
