FORMER Luton and Watford midfielder Jamie Hand has been fined by the FA over his Twitter spat with Luton fans.

A series of unsavoury comments were posted by the 28-year-old Hayes & Yeading captain following their 4-2 defeat at Kenilworth Road earlier this month.

He has since deactivated his account and an FA spokesman said: “Jamie Hand admitted an FA charge of using Twitter comments which were improper and/or brought the game into disrepute.

“The result of the hearing was that Hand was warned as to his future conduct and fined £250.”

Hand made a total of 14 appearances for the Hatters while on loan earlier this season, scoring twice.
