Keane shoulders blame for York winner

TOWN stalwart Keith Keane accepted responsbility for York's winner at Wembley on Sunday, write Mike Simmonds.

Although City goalscorer Matty Blair was clearly a yard offside when he poked past Mark Tyler moments after half time, Keane admitted it was he who should have been marking the Minstermen attacker.

He said: "Maybe I made a mistake. Maybe in that situation, you should stay with your man, but I thought he was offside. I'll take all the blame for it in the world, he's my man.

"I apologised to everyone. All I've ever wanted is to get us back in the league and I'm sorry I haven't been able to do that."
