Walker loaned to Iron ahead of Mariners clash

Talented Town youngster Dan Walker has joined Conference compatriots Braintree Town on a month’s loan ahead of the visit of Luton’s title rivals Grimsby Town on Friday night.

The 22-year-old striker has had a number of loan spells during his time at the Hatters, including stars at Southport, Cambridge United and Eastbourne, and a successful loan spell could aid Luton’s promotion push.

He netted against Braintree earlier this season and has scored three goals in eight appearances so far this season.

Walker has been included in the Iron’s squad to face Grimsby on Friday night and will stay at the Amlin Stadium until Saturday, February 23.
