New team at Leighton Town are under the floodlights this week

Leighton Town U6s

Here is a brand new team at Leighton Town.

The youth section of the club held an eight week soccer school at Bell Close. Children up to school year 1 learned soccer skills, while also having fun.

Head coach Tim Hodges was so impressed with the quality of players who attended, the club decided to start an Under Sevens team a year early.

The team currently train twice a week, which Tim thinks should put them on a great position for the forthcoming 2010-11 season.

Leighton Town Youth FC Chairman, Alfie Elliott, said: "We are very excited about this crop of players which I am sure will add another strong side to our already 16 successful teams."

Meanwhile, if any Year 1 children would like to join the team then parents should get in contact via the club's website www.ltyfc.org.uk
