Instead, he has been replaced by former Town boss Paul Burgess, with Lee Halling - former Reserve Team manager - installed as his number two.

There will also be familiar faces in the coaching staff, with two former managers making a return to the club.

Sean Downey and Craig Wells also return to Bell Close having managed the first team in recent years with new coaching roles.

Downey will help co-ordinate the new Development Team which the club are running next season, also in the Spartan South Midlands League, and encourage positive links with the Leighton Town Youth U 17 side who are playing at Bell Close in the Easter Junior Alliance Sunday League.

The club though are still to name a manager for the Development Team, which will compete at reserve and U25 level.
