YEARS Three, Four and Five pupils at St Michael's School, Stewkley, entertained parents and friends with their Christmas play entitled Stable Manners.
The show was full of songs, banter and laughter – helped along by a very amusing hen called Chuck, a beautiful cow called Bessie and an extremely proud sheep called Cecil.

Headteacher Kieran Salter said: “The applause and the comments after the performance said it all. This was a high-energy, joke-filled Christmas production which our younger children obviously enjoyed putting on, and which was very appreciated by the audience.

“We had a good turn-out on Tuesday afternoon and a packed house on Wednesday evening.

“My thanks go to everyone who contributed: staff, parents, friends and of course to the children themselves.

“As a result of audience generosity a further £211 has been collected to pass on to ‘Oxfam Unwrapped’.”
