Duo won't be Bruised by gig coming to the town

A duo of musicians who have supported the likes of Hawkwind and The Who will be performing at The Wheatsheaf in Leighton Buzzard.

Bruise, consisting of Isobel and Jim Kimberley, play on Friday night.

In addition to their exports supporting top bands, they have also performed at festivals across the US and Europe, including Glastonbury.

Drummer and multi-instrumentalist Jim has played with Squeeze and Mark Knopfler. Singer Isobel’s voice has been compared by the organisers to Stevie Nicks.

The same venue on Saturday night will host a vintage five-piece rock band, Sweet Revenge.

Formed more than 25 years ago in Cambridge by Andy and Sean, the band have been through many reformations in that time.

These guys are rock fanatics with a wealth of experience throughout the UK and Europe.

The set includes favourites like Rocking in the Free World, Paranoid, Whole Lotta Love and Whole Lotta Rosie – and lots more of the same!

The entertainment starts at 9,30pm both nights and entrance to the gigs is free.
