A family dedicated to keeping their son’s memory alive by helping other critically ill children are throwing a Hollywood meets Bollywood charity ball.
Trishna and Stuart Reid, of White Horse Close, Hockliffe, who started Mani’s Helping Hands after their son died in February have already raised over £12,000.
And following on from the success of May’s Football All Stars Family Fun Day that raised more than £5,000, the Reid family are hoping the ball’s money will continue to help various groups who support children with complex needs and their parents including SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents), and the Sick Children’s Trust.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 16 at The Jury’s Inn Hotel in Milton Keynes and will feature a drinks and canapé reception, a four-course sit-down Indian meal, dancing and other entertainment.
The main fundraising activity on the evening will be an auction of various items, including signed sports merchandise, and hand painted artwork and proceeds of the sale of these will go to Mani’s Helping Hands.
