Bands from Europe and the Leighton area are staging a gig this Thursday to launch a fund-raising campaign to aid Help For Heroes.
Sophie Baczynski and Jimi Sweeting have organised the concert to kick-start their £8,000 target for the charity.
In September Sophie, of Bideford Green, Linslade, and Jimi, of Windsor Avenue, Leighton, are taking part in a ten-day trek along the Inca Trail which will take them up more than 4,000m into the mountains
Their cash target is being raised by events in the run-up to the trek.
This Thursday at the Kiln Farm pub, Keller Close, Milton Keynes, Leighton band The Rusty Gs, appear with Scandinavian rockers Sacramental, and English bands Birdey and Death And The Miser.
Said Sophie: “We chose Help for Heroes as we truly believe that what they do is amazing, and as someone born missing a limb, I can relate to those effected.”
Leighton shops have contributed to a raffle and the couple have set up a JustGiving page for donations www.justgiving.com/incatrek14
