The Linsdale Singers will be joined by the Circle Singers of Leamington Spa for the concert which takes place at St Barnabas Church in Linslade on Saturday July 16 at 7pm

Among the pieces to be performed include Vivald’s Gloria, Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G Manor and Motets by Bruckner and Stanford.

The Linsdale Singers is a choir of around 30 voices. Specialising in singing unaccompanied choral music the Choir also performs works that are accompanied by piano/organ or a chamber orchestra.

In 2011 the Singers joined with the Circle Singers of Leamington Spa to present two concerts that included Fauré’s Requiem.

These concerts – one in Coventry and the other four weeks later in Leighton Buzzard – were so successful that the choirs have decided to repeat the experience.

Earlier this month, the Linsdale Singers travelled to Stratford upon Avon to join them in the first of the two identical concerts, which was a huge success.

A spokesman for the Linsdale Singers said: “We are very pleased to be joined by the Circle Singers to repeat this concert in our home town at the beautiful St Barnabas church.

“For Vivaldi’s Gloria we will be accompanied by a small orchestra.”

The group is also hoping to use the concert to attract new members and are looking for younger performers aged between 16 and 20 in particular.

Entrance to this concert is £10 with accompanied children admitted free.

Tickets are available at the door on the night of the concert, or by going to the group’s website.
