The Leighton Buzzard Theatre will be full of moments from the musicals over the weekend.

Performances by The Advance Theatre Company and LBCT Youth Section will leave the audience humming familiar show tunes.

On Thursday July 21 and Saturday July 23 at 7pm The Advance group will perform songs from Stephen Sondheim focusing on songs from West Side Story, Follies, Company, Gypsy and more in the production based on Side by Side by Sondheim.

Songs will include Comedy Tonight, Broadway Baby, Send in the Clowns and many many more.

The company of local amateurs and professionals include Seb Cridland who has just completed a foundation year at Guilford School of acting and is going onto study at The Birmingham School of Acting.

Lissie Allsopp who has just completed her opera diploma at the prestigious Associated Studios and who is now furthering her studies with a degree course at The London College of Music also appears.

Local stars Nathan Rutherford, Hayley Green, Tilly Jones, Emer Downey and many more will also appear.

On Friday July 22 at 7pm and Saturday July 23 at 2pm will bring a different set of show songs performed by the LBCT Youth section.

Favourites from The Sound of Music, Blood Brothers, South Pacific, Bugsy Malone and many more shows will be produced with the focus on variety and fun with the cast of local youngsters aged 13-18.

Both productions are in aid of Macmillan Cancer support.

Tickets for the event are £7 for adults and £5 for concessions.
