On Friday night Cain Rising return to the Wheatie.

Since their last visit they have done a couple of sell out shows in Milton Keynes and had plenty of radio coverage.

The menu is mostly classy, catchy original songs, but with a few covers thrown in, will be served up by Jim Price on vocals, guitar and mandolin, Jez Parry on bass and backing vocals, Jo Parry on backing vocals, Kevin Blake on guitar and Paul King on the drums.

The music is described as a cross between the Eagles and Tom Petty with influences from Lennon, Dylan and Springsteen tossed into the mix.

On Saturday The Bleeding Hearts return to the Wheatie again with their Electric Folk filled with their music described as “a bucketful of musical emotion”.

They have played at festivals across the UK, Europe and North America including Glastonbury.

The band has supported such acts as varied as The Darkness, The Dammed, Fishbone, Miles Hunt, The Levellers and The Oysterband – to name but a few.

Between gigs and touring, they have released six albums and two EPs.

One music magazine even described the band as “the perfect festival band” to be danced to, listened to, but can’t be ignored!

Music starts at about 9.30pm on both nights and entry is free.
