The Proms in Campbell Park returns to Milton Keynes in August, it has been announced today.
Milton Keynes City Orchestra and The Parks Trust have once again partnered up for another uplifting open-air concert, as MKCO perform a host of classical favourites under the baton of its founder Hilary Davan Wetton.
Taking to the stage alongside the orchestra will be internationally famous soprano, Janice Watson.
Originally a flautist, she began taking singing seriously at the instigation of the tenor Phillip Langridge and at the age of 23 won the Kathleen Ferrier Award and the Royal Overseas League launching her into the upper levels of the singing profession. Janice has also won a Grammy with two further nominations to her name.
Friends for a number of years, Janice and Hilary have a fantastic musical relationship, guaranteeing a brilliant performance on the stage.
Following the orchestra will be a spectacular fireworks display, providing families with a perfect end to the evening on Friday, August 14.
