Designed to run up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the unit claims to disinfect viruses and airborne bacteria, including COVID-19, using germicidal lighting.

Dan Vincent, assistant manager at Linford Grange, said: “Having another layer of protection at the home is going to bring great peace of mind to both residents and carers.

“The last year has been a tough time for all care homes and we are very thankful to Victory for their gift.”
